connections between "uniformity" and "obedience"

In Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation",he speaks on uniformity in he fast food nation, which means to set order and make everything the same. for example, the way the food is made, where it comes from, and the temperature the food is being kept. Their is also another keyword he brings up in this book, and that is "Obedience". Obedience is used in this book mostly towards the workers. Its used to keep the workers in order and following directions. I believe these two keywords from Eric Schlosser's book have some unique similarities in the fast food nation. Obedience means to be obligated to do something or to follow instructions. This sounds a lot like uniformity because in uniformity you have to abide by certain rules. I believe these two keywords are similar because they both manifest the idea of  "control". In the fast food nation there needs to be a power of control to run a restaurant. if their is no control, it would be chaos. if their was no obedience in the workers, they would be able to do what they want and if that happened their would be no uniformity in the way the food is made. see how that connects? thats why i believe uniformity and obedience have a simular connection in the fast food nation

  1. I liked the way you added the idea of the first blog post into the second. This perticular blog is an improvement of the first. I liked the addition of talking about obedience and how it applies to workers. I would suggest that you write about who are the workers that need to be obedient. To an individual who does not know about this subject they might feel a bit lost. However I do think you connected strongly the ideas of uniformity and how it correlates with obedience. The way you linked them both with control was well done. My last suggestion is when making a connection specificly the one you made at the end I do not think there was any need to add the rhetorical question. The connection was good and a person reading it would have already made the connection. Overall a good blog post.
